来自橙色的联想

From the association of orange

童年是玩乐，是探索，是每个人的乌托邦。

我们希望运用“折纸”这个代表童年的普适性图案，

描绘一群闯入都市后自由玩耍的折纸长颈鹿，

将每一位观众都带回到了自在的童年。

Childhood is about the play, exploration, and everyone's utopia.

We uses origami, the universal image of childhood,

to illustrate a group of giraffes playing freely after broke into the city, which brings everyone back to their childhood.

 闯入都市的折纸长颈鹿群在场地里肆意玩乐，

它们的形态各异、尺寸高低不一，

或是在池边饮水小憩，

或是于墙缝俯首探望，

更有甚者，爬墙而上，冲破禁锢，

闯入这束缚的成年世界，自由自在地玩耍起来。

Origami giraffes play around in our urban spaces,

they're all different sizes and shapes.

Some drinking by the side of the pool,

some looking down at the window of the wall,

some even climbing over the fence,

breaking through the constraint .

对于自由的向往，

我们专注于对折纸艺术的研究，

从抓团，到几何体，再到有机体。

通过指着探讨二维到三维的转换，

纸张在手中不再是一种静态的媒介，

而是赋予了时间和生命力的艺术品。

Dream for the freedom,

We has been studying the art of origami for years,

from scratch to geometry, to organisms.

In the process of exploring the transition

from two-dimension to three-dimension,

the paper is no longer a material only,

but a symbol of time and vitality by his creation.

这是童梦里折纸长颈鹿的成长历程，

把它解放到成年人的世界中去自由嬉戏。

创作运用了最新的3D打印技术，

更好地推敲长颈鹿与场地之间的互动关系。

同时，在制作过程中，

依据雕塑本身的形体穿插规律，

将雕塑进行模块化地生产再焊接组装，

巧妙地用304#不锈钢还原了折纸般轻盈的视觉感受。

This is the growing process of origami giraffe in children's dream,

and liberates it to play freely in the adult world.

Using 3D printing technology,

we designed the interaction between giraffes and the space of the site.

And then, skillfully,

we makes stainless steel look as light as paper,

by modularize and assemble the sculpture,

对童真的向往，

在项目落成以后仍有体现。

我们将折纸的长颈鹿进行了最后的解构，

把三维的纸模拆解回一张带有折痕的纸张，

这似乎是回归到童真的一个象征。

在当代解构主义的立场，

落成的雕塑不再是“折纸长颈鹿”这个能指的符号，

而是每一个观众潜意识中所指的“童年”。

In the completion of the project,

We pursuit of the innocent was also showed.

By the end, we deconstructed the origami giraffe,

which means opening the three-dimensional paper

back to a piece of paper with creases,

and this seems to be an expression

which the artist return to the original.

In the context of contemporary deconstruction,

the completed sculpture is no longer the signifier of "origami giraffe" ,

but the "childhood" that every audience refers to their subconscious.
